Fragrance is one of beauty’s fastest-growing categories, but growth alone can be misleading. Viral moments don’t always build lasting brands, and not all storytelling drives sell-through. As consumers embrace scent as identity and self-expression, the rules of discovery, brand building, and scale are shifting in real time.
Moderated by Kelly Kovack, this panel brings together Givaudan's Jenine Guerriero, influencer Emma Vernon, and brand founder Carol Han Pyle to unpack what’s actually driving success and and how brands can win in today’s market. From formulation to digital influence to retail expansion, this conversation connects the full ecosystem from lab to consumer, offering a clear-eyed view of what it takes to build and scale a fragrance brand today.
Key Takeaways:
What’s truly driving fragrance growth and where brands misread demand
Why virality doesn’t equal longevity and what drives repeat purchase
How discovery has shifted to community, content, and co-creation
The gap between storytelling and sell-through and how to close it
What retailers are looking for in fragrance brands today
